Since 2006 the Provost’s Awards for Excellence have honored faculty, staff, students, alumni and programs that engage the public to address critical societal issues. Nominations are solicited from the University community and evaluated by a selection committee of faculty and staff members of the Public Engagement Forum.
Each year different aspects of engagement, engaged scholarship and community engagement have been highlighted which is reflected in the overall name of the awards and in the categories honored. The awards culminate with recognition of the individual and program award winners at a reception hosted by the Office of Public Engagement.
